Message engines is that they d not follow the nissan specs, they use SBC engine building guidlines (loose engines = better). Our engines have a lot tighter tolerances compared to the old school engines that these guys are used to building. Common issues are
Piston to cly wall clearance
Ring gaps
The honing process (too rough a stone and the engine burns oil)

FYI not all cast blocks are the same. I believe our blocks are harder and don't wear easily so you have to hone them with a fine grit stone to prevent oil burning.
